  • Check thermostat for proper operation and change batteries

  • Check limit settings and safety controls

  • Change humidifier filter*

  • Inspect heat exchanger for cracks and airflow restrictions

  • Inspect ductwork for visible breaks

  • Clean pilot assembly

  • Check for proper ground to fuse box

  • Vacuum clean burners

  • Check ignition safety circuit

  • Check indoor bearings

  • ​​Change filter*

  • Clean humidifier and humidifier drain

  • Lubricate moving parts

  • Check for gas leaks and proper gas pressure

  • Check for proper voltage to system

  • Check and replace belts if necessary

  • Oil and lubricate motors

  • Check temperate rise across the furnace

  • Check igniter resistance

  • Check chimney for restrictions

  • Turn dampers to appropriate position

  • Check fan switch for proper operation
